The brand new Aljustrel Mining Park shows the public the historical value of an hard working people. Aljustrel’s mine is probably the oldest and still in activity. You’ll have access to the mine’s most remote places and you’ll see the processes that the minerals go through.

THE BIGGEST ALMOND OCHARD IN EUROPE
The almond ochard from Llopis Portugal SA, close to Aljustrel, is the biggest in Europe. It has nearly 350ha and american plants of soft shell. It’s an intensive almond ochard that can be visited upon booking.

GET TO KNOW TALHA WINE
15 minutes away from Aljustrel, you can visit Talha wine from Ervidel. This handmade wine is conserved in some mud pots before consumption or bottling. The process has close to 2000 years and was brought by the Romans. Since then it’s been part of Alentejo traditions.
